"Whether is sending the man to the moon or understanding the complexity of the human brain, engineering systems must provide a safe, feasible, and cost effective solution to a valid need."
- Karen Flores
As a physician, I have always thought that health care delivery can be improved with the implementation of techniques and technologies that have originated from information technology. As a Computer Engineer, I have found that the constant, rapid evolution in technology allows this field to provide feasible and cost effective solutions to problems that at one-point seemed difficult or impossible to solve. Delivery of affordable high quality health care services is a very complex problem influenced by many factors within and outside the scope of health care delivery. Therefore, in order to achieve the goal of delivering high quality health care, is necessary to innovate the way health care is being delivered. As a result, my goal is to become a physician that applies Information Technology in the design, development and implementation of feasible, cost-effective solutions that guarantee high quality health care delivery. The contents displayed on this portfolio aim to demonstrate different implementation of Information Technology for health care deliver applications.
